Hey!

You found my secret about me page that is a lil more detailed and about ME than the other page.

A few things about me that only my family and close friends tend to notice:

I love to sing and especially singing for others. I like to sing songs from Selena or Juan Gabriel. Growing up, I was part of different choirs. My favorite was singing to a church full of family on Sunday mornings. I like to think that if my family had stayed together how we were, I might still be religious. Something about community and fitting in.

I like to clean. I am always cleaning. And organizing and decluttering.

If too much mess piles up, I'll start doing dishes. I love washing dishes. I love the dishwasher too tho.

My favorite part of cleaning is getting the dirt off and seeing it on the rag. Or seeing how dirty the mop water gets. It's highkey satisfying for me, but I know some people don't like it.

I guess arts & crafts are what I normally get into. I like cross-stitching. My last cross-stich project was the Last Supper tho and that one is so large I only finished like half of it. Ok, maybe a lil more than half. I gotta get all the small bits now. Special details like the eyes and stuff. I like cutting and pasting, and building like making little models of things. I like to color and draw and paint sometimes. I used to be hella into calligraphy when I was younger so I got really good at copying. I wouldn't say I can draw at all lmao, but I can copy down different lettering. I like graffiti letters best. I also like to make bees-wax food wraps once in a while.

Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, but I actually like taking care of our planet. I like picking up trash, and separating waste into different categories, compost, recycling, stuff we can reuse or upcycle. I got that from my mama.

I am not an athletic person at all but I love riding my bike and going swimming. My sibling custom built my bike, it's a single-speed road/bmx hybrid, painted copper-gold and black. It's sick. It looks so hood I love it. I wanted a bmx hybrid cause I wanted to do tricks. I gotta learn how to do tricks tho lmao all I can do is a lil bounce here n there.

Recently, I saw that most of my favorite books were under the sociology section at the bookstore. I've always had a particular interest in history and culture, so that makes sense. I always had an interest with my generation (as has the rest of the world), which is how the foundations of this project came to be.

I already said my cousins are my best friends, my first and life-long best friends. But just to give a shout out... my bestie of 10 years, Faith, and I met when we were working together at Charlotte Russe. She was cracking me up at the holiday party. Pretty soon we had a lil momentum going on while working. I seen a set of friendship necklaces said "Girl Gang" and that was the start of our best friendship.

Estrella, my best friend of 23 years, is my favorite person in the whole wide world. And she is mother to another one of my favorite people.

My kid, Stella, is the reason there are seventeen years of social media posting to sift through, and why I am doing this project now. She is archived on Tumblr and Instragram and Youtube. She was on Vine and Tiktok and Facebook. I never posted her for the world to see. I kept what I could private and only visible to people I trusted. It is impossible to dearchive her, and myself, from the web completely.

There is so much that goes into this passion project of mine & I hope it becomes clear as you read through the pages. I can't possibly articulate it all in a few short sentences. I hope you like it :)
